After conducting one-on-one interviews with regular volunteers and coordinators, we evaluated these users’ emotions during various stages of a beach clean-up. It is evident that the “work” phase is the most strenuous.

VISUAL LANGUAGE

Moving forward with the research that our group gathered, we began abstracting “connecting real people, creating real impact” into digestible words and phrases.

Using Open AI’s Dall-E 2, I collaborated on a design mood board to shape our brand identity and form development aesthetic. We used the key words and phrases from our post-it note ideation for prompt generation, as well as CMF descriptors.

We refined our designs into a long bike to maximize storage on the frame. Here are my ideations.

After developing varying fidelities of Fusion 360 CAD models, our group used the VRed Pro Headset
and the VR Vibe Studio software to gain insight on scale, proportion, and proper fit.

MODULAR

The Onward Frontier has a modular design that allows for both front and rear attachments. For the beach clean-up use scenario, the rear bin attachment and personal object front attachment are advertised.
